
Remi L. Spencer, Esq., concentrates her practice in the areas of state and federal criminal defense, municipal court, and complex commercial litigation. Ms. Spencer is a former Union County Assistant Prosecutor where she focused her practice in the area of Domestic Violence. Ms. Spencer is the current Chair of the Criminal Law Section of the Essex County Bar Association (2009-2010), after serving as the Vice-Chair (2008-2009). She was the former Young Laywer's Trustee of the Union County Bar Association (2005-2007), as well as a Member of the Events Committee (2005-2006). She is a member of the Alumni Council at Seton Hall University School of Law, where she was an adjunct professor instructing second and third-year law students on drafting appellate briefs and developing oral advocacy skills, as the students competed in national moot court competitions.
Ms. Spencer received her B.A. degree from Boston College and her J.D. degree from Seton Hall University School of Law. Ms. Spencer is admitted to practice in the state of New Jersey, the state of New York, before the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, and before the U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals for the 3rd Circuit. Ms. Spencer is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association, the Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers of New Jersey, the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the American Bar Association, the Essex County Bar Association and the Union County Bar Association.
